Sara Fay | Secretary General

Hey my dudes! My name is Sara and I will be Sec Gen for SaintMUN 2019. There’s so much to look forward to about SaintMUN, but I’m most looking forward to working with the chairs to see what they come up with for debate subjects.

MUN has been a part of my life for the last eight years, which, if you do the math, is more than a third of my life. Thankfully, I don't usually do math to come to those conclusions since my degree is International Relations and History. In terms of hobbies I really enjoy not sleeping, reading, drinking coffee, and talking as fast as possible. I apologize in advance for all the history jokes I'm probably going to make that you're probably not going to laugh at. Well I don't really mean that apology because I'm still going to make the jokes.

Grace Vollers | Undersecretary for Finance

Hello, my name is Grace and I am your USG for finance. I am a second year student at St Andrews and am studying Arabic and International Relations. I am excited to be a part of such a fun and well-run society and I am looking forward to our upcoming conference in October as well as our enjoyable monthly debates! Feel free to reach out to me for any assistance and/or over-enthusiastic motivation!

Tom Freebairn | Undersecretary for Debate

Hi my name is Tom and I will be your Undersecretary for Debates! Sara told me to write this bio many times but I didn't so now she's writing one for me! There isn't much to know about me, I'm a pretty boring guy. In my spare time I'm a passionate knitter, I like to watch exclusively Housewives of Beverley Hills and am a fervent capitalist! Long live Milton Friedman! Anyways, super excited to see you all in October! Sorry if I seem shy when you first meet me, I don't have a lot of friends and new people scare me.

Soyoun Wun | Undersecretary for Communications

Hi! I'm Soyoun, a third year International Relations student. I will be Undersecretary for Communications for SaintMUN 2019. It is my second year organising SaintMUN. Our team and I are excited to invite you to SaintMUN 2019 and to this beautiful historic town, St Andrews!

I have been involved in MUN for the past five years and this is my fourth conference organizing as a secretariat. Just like other MUNers, MUN experience introduced me to the excitement of the International Relations and diplomacy. I sincerely hope this yearSaintMUN can also give you a key to a new road.

Outside of my main study, I love learning new things! I`m practising Chinese and French, studying Psychology, developing an app and trying out many other random things. This upcoming year, you can find me teaching Korean in St Andrews. After all my work is done, I love spending my time reading, taking photos, riding a bicycle, playing badminton and going to galleries.

Sara Fay | Undersecretary for Information Technology

I hope I pulled a Clark Kent on you with the glasses in the other photo. I'm actually the same person.

Rhea Soni | Undersecretary for Publicity

Hi! I’m Rhea and I’m a second year at the University of St. Andrews. I’m excited for SAINTMUN because it is an amazing conference that gets a lot of productive debating in. It is also in one of the most scenic towns in Scotland!! Go SAINTMUN.

Jack Roush | Undersecretary for Logistics

Hey guys I'm Jack and I'm in charge of logistics! I could not be more excited to be apart of such a fun and wholesome Secretariat this year and I can't wait to welcome you all to St Andrews for SaintMUN this year!

Alex Brunner | Undersecretary General for Events

Hi everyone, my name is Alex and I am a third year studying International Relations at the University of Saint Andrews. On campus you can find me reading textbooks or selling cupcakes outside the library for UNICEF. I have been involved in MUN for the past seven years, and I am looking forward to kicking off SaintMUN with a social that will be remembered for the ages.

Outside of academics and work you can find me being splashed by the waves on Lake Lochlore as I row along for the Saint Andrews Boat Club. I am also a die-hard basketball fan (Go Wizards!); I hope to learn about the growing fan base of Euroleague basketball during his time at Saint Andrews.

James Shearer | Conference Coordinator

Hi guys, James here. I am a second year philosophy major trying desperately to work my way out of an existentialist crisis, please send help. When I am not paralysed by the terror of my own existence I am reading and learning about emergent technology; right now I am looking into how AI might affect the field of moral philosophy so hit me up if you have thoughts. Otherwise I am conference coordinator for our MUN society here, if you are running a conference get in contact with Sara or I and we will try and send a delegation. I am really excited to be a part of SaintMUN this year and hope you enjoy your time with us as much as I’ve enjoyed all my time with MUN (five years now). P.S. It’s cold in Scotland, bring a coat.

Deanna Coleman | Member Without Portfolio

Hi, I’m Deanna. I’m really looking forward to chairing the IOC and being on Secretariat this October; my final SaintMUN Conference! I’ve been involved in Model UN for over 7 years now, but my interest really took off at university. I have participated as a delegate and chair around the UK, and am also on the international secretariat team for the United Ambassadors. I love controversy, and therefore am really looking for some heated debate in our committee this October.

Oliver Roberts | Member Without Portfolio

Hi, I’m Oliver. I’m an incoming third-year honours in History. I joined MUN because I wanted a new experience that allows us to re-enact and explore events that have shaped the world. The different events allow for different skills to be practiced and new strategies in diplomacy to be tested, so its both challenging and fun wherther you’re experienced or a first-timer!
I am also heavily involved in the University’s Investment Society and Union Debating Society.
